All his life, Dale Schroeder from Iowa was an ordinary workman. He worked as a carpenter and had a small house, two pairs of old jeans and a long rusty truck. The man didn't spend much on himself. Years later, however, it turned out that he left millions of dollars in his account. The carpenter was saving up for an important mission and now there are 33 total strangers grateful to him.

Dale grew up in a poor family, he didn't go to college and started working after school. His acquaintances knew him as an ordinary guy and a hard worker. The man never bothered to get married, he no one to spend his salary on.

Nevertheless, the carpenter did not buy himself any new things, although he was not a miser. Having retired Dale could afford a comfortable life travelling around the world, but it was revealed only when his friend was read his will.

It turned out that the ordinary carpenter had saved up $3 million in his account. All this money Dale willed to be spent on the education of children from poor families. The man wanted them to find a place in the world.

He started saving money for charity back in the 1990s when he learned about a program that helps children from low-income families get a college education.

Carpenter's savings were enough for 33 teenagers to go to college. They all graduated and were extremely grateful to Dale. The story of the generous carpenter quickly went viral on social media, and major publications made a video about him as well:
