Mohamed Bzeek, born in Libya, has spent much of his life in America. When the man studied in the University of Utah, his friend introduced him to Dawn. He couldn't even imagine that they would date and get married.

The girl looked much older than her years, she was in a hurry to leave the meeting and didn't tell Mohamed anything about herself. It wasn't until later, when Dawn started to trust the guy, that she explained everything. It turned out that Dawn had a several adopted kids.

Bzeek had long sought the opportunity to meet Dawn's family, but for some reason the woman didn't want her kids to meet him. The reason for this strange behavior was known when Dawn gave in and invited Bzeek to her place. It turned out that Dawn was the mother of five.

Finally, Dawn opened up about her childhood. It was her grandparents who brought her up. They also fostered many kids, including those with special needs. It was they who inspired her to take in terminally ill children.

Mohamed reacted to Dawn's confession in the most unexpected way – he proposed to Dawn. The couple married and with double zeal set about creating a home for children who needed urgent, special care from foster parents. All told, the Bzeeks have fostered several dozen terminally ill kids.

For example, one of their kids, a boy, has been in the hospital 167 times in his eight years of life. This is because he was born with short bowel syndrome. He was not allowed to eat regular food, but still the kid sat with his parents and siblings at the table. This allowed him to feel part of the family.

Unfortunately, not all kids were able to make it. Dawn and Mohamed buried ten of their kids.

In 1998, the couple welcomed their biological son. Baby Adam was born with a congenital pathology: he was dwarfed, suffered from osteogenesis and had incredibly brittle bones. That didn't stop Adam from growing up, graduating from college, and becoming a software engineer.

Dawn's busy schedule didn't stop her from being a speaker at foster parent school, and she became one of California's leading experts on adoption. But Dawn's life was not long. In 2015, the woman passed away: she suffered from seizures for several years and even divorced her husband because of her illness.

But Mohamed didn't give up their mission. He continues to foster ill children and brighten up their short lives. The man is now 62 years old. He continues to take care of his biological son and several surviving children.
