This hungry and unwanted doggie was roaming Los Angeles streets for 10 years. Fortunately, Synergy, a San Diego animal welfare organization, spotted Bob and took him to a shelter.
Bob lived on the streets of Los Angeles without grooming or proper care for 10 years. When he got to the shelter, his back left paw literally ripped off while grooming. The dog's hair got so matted that it cut off blood flow. Soon it was evident that his front paw also had to be amputated.
As it turned out later, Bob was a poodle that needed a shearing every four to six weeks. But Bob looked as if he hadn't had his hair cut for years.
The doggie had terrible rotten teeth, most of which were removed.
Bob was adopted by a loving family on January 29. However, the pooch still has to have regular checkups.
Little by little Bob was brought back to life. He started playing and running like other dogs.
He also often visits people with special needs.
In May, Bob had an abscess and his new family almost lost him.
But since Bob is a fighter he was able to get over the disease, even though he lost his last teeth.
Now he lives in a house with two Siberian Huskies and a pair of cats.
Finally, Bob is a happy dog.
Thanks to Synergy and the family that adopted Bob, he is no longer suffering and lives a wonderful life!
