Urban explorers often come across mysterious buildings that have not been touched for many years. Youtuber the Bearded Explorer can boast of such a find. Back in 2019 he and his partner discovered an abandoned cottage for which time stopped two decades ago.
It wasn't an easy task to get to the house located in the middle of nowhere. The couple had to make their way through the woods and drive along abandoned roads filled with debris. The two explorers even had to remove a huge log that blocked their way. But the mysterious building was definitely worth their efforts.
The place is believed to have been abandoned for about 30 years. The last evidence the couple found of anyone living there was an old 1993 newspaper. As the Bearded Explorer admits, the house is a complete time capsule. There was still some food in the kitchen, even socks were hanging to dry above the stove. The lounging area was filled with various sorts of things such as books, figurines, personal belongings... The bedroom was exactly how the owners left it.
The explorers supposed that a very elderly person must have lived there because he had to sleep in the bed in the kitchen so that not to climb the stairs.
The wildlife was literally taking over part of the bedroom which was really incredible to see. However, it's still unknown what happened to the previous owners of the house and why they left the place so hastily not taking their belongings with them.
