When the couple first crossed the threshold of their new home, it looked terrible: the wallpaper was sagging, the carpets were rotten, there was a musty smell in the air, and the unkept garden was unpleasant to look at through the window. Looking at that two-bedroom north London pad, one couldn't tell that it was located at Primrose Hill, the are so much loved by British superstars from Kate Moss to Matt Smith.

According to Jess and Jen, they saw incredible potential in it, so they did their best to transform it into their dream home. The first thing the girls did was to paint the building a distinguished pale yellow in keeping with its history, because in the affluent neighborhood the dilapidated walls of the house really stood out.

"The building was one of the worst kept on the street, and the paintwork hadn’t been touched for years, if not decades. There was an overgrown tree in danger of breaking up the pavement, and some pretty unattractive tiles leading down to the front entrance, which was clad in security bars," Jen recalls.

The couple made a new porch, moved the door, secured the tree, and redesigned the rooms.
